WWC Certification provides a blueprint for how cities can better manage with data. This includes new ways to solve problems using existing data, through data management, performance analytics, evaluation, and results-driven contracting. Certification criteria also encourages cities to better communicate and engage the public around data. There are 45 criteria for best practices in use of data and evidence across eight foundational areas. Advancing in these practices helps Portland build its capacity for innovation, and join the ranks of other leading U.S. cities that have been recognized for their use of data and evidence to improve results.
