DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES, STANDARDS & GUIDELINES
Administrative Rule Adopted by Portland Fire & Rescue Pursuant to Rule-Making Authority
A. This policy replaces FMO Policy B-1, Fir-2.01, “Provisions for Fire Department Access and Water Supply”, originally effective January 10, 1991.
B. It is the purpose of this policy to establish processes, standards and practices to guide the design and review of manual and automatic fire protection services associated with the development process.
C. This policy shall apply to any building, site or land division process within the jurisdiction of Portland Fire & Rescue.
D. Fire Protection requirements are specified in the Portland Fire Code and Standards adopted by the code. The purpose of this policy is to adopt and publish specific practices that are deemed acceptable designs for fire protection within the City of Portland.
A. The following documents are approved by the Fire Marshal as providing acceptable design for fire protection purposes.
