Community Safety

A holistic approach

Our city is safer, stronger, and more vibrant when all Portlanders can participate and work collaboratively and creatively on public safety. The Community Safety Program organizes and coordinates partnerships to build safe communities that are connected, inclusive, and engaged.

We support neighbors to work with each other, with the City, and with community to better address a broad range of related public safety considerations such as active transportation, emergency preparedness, personal safety, community advocacy, and more.
