30th Anniversary Birthday Celebration
Celebrating 30 Years of Neighborhood Activism and Involvement - 1974 to 2004
hosted by the 95 Neighborhood Associations of Portland
2004 marked the 30th Anniversary of the City of Portland's recognition of Neighborhood Associations.
The Neighborhood Associations of Portland put together a celebration of all the things Neighborhood Associations do throughout every year of service. They used this 30th Anniversary to remind Portland residents and elected officials of the unique and valuable services provided by Neighborhood Associations and the scope of the things they do.
The entire year will be used to call attention to what Neighborhood Associations do by:
The theme of the year of celebration will build on what Neighborhood Associations already do, the real value they provide the City, and how the thousands of Neighborhood Association volunteers use their skills, interests, and time to significantly contribute to the desirability of living in Portland, Oregon.
