CPIN is a series of networking and training sessions for citywide public involvement staff on best practices for working with the community. Over 40 staff from 15 different City bureaus are regularly attending networking sessions.

The Public Involvement Advisory Committee is a group of city employees and community volunteers that assists in developing guidelines, policies and supports implementation of public involvement principles.
Adopted unanimously by City Council in August 2010 - these principles set out what the public can expect from city government. Seven principles are listed and each include indicators and outcomes.
