City government land use planning and development review processes significantly shape the form and character of Portland's neighborhoods. Neighborhood activists who learn how the system works are more likely to be able to influence land use and development policies, decisions, and projects.
ONI regularly partners with individual neighborhood district coalitions, the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) and the Bureau of Development Services (BDS) to present "ABCs of Land Use" workshops that help neighborhood activists and community members learn how planning and development review works in Portland and how to have an effective voice in these processes.
Click on "ABCs of Land Use" below to access the materials from the most recent ABCs of Land Use workshop.
