There are currently four open advisory body positions. To find out more about each board, please follow the links below.

  • Mt. Hood Cable Regulatory Commission: Do you want to help provide technology grants and internet connectivity to community institutions and non-profits? Do you want to ensure a local voice through community media? Apply for the Mt. Hood Cable Regulatory Commission today!

  • Community Opportunity Enhancements Program: Do you have ideas on how to grow a diverse workforce for those who have been left out before? Help us build more pathways and contracting opportunities for minority-owned, women-owned, and Service Disabled Veteran owned business by applying to join our Community Opportunity Enhancements Program.

  •  Noise Review Board: Join one of the few advisory bodies where community members make the decisions on noise permits (we call this a quasi-judicial advisory body). Neighbors located east of I-205 and East Portland are strongly encouraged to apply. Apply to join the Noise Review Board and help develop long term ways to support the livability for communities.

  • Bureau of Emergency Management User Board: Are you a resident of Portland and interested in ensuring safe and reliable responses from emergency services? The Bureau of Emergency Management User Board meets in East Portland quarterly and is looking for your application!

Staff: The Advisory Body must be in compliance with the new bylaws policy before recruiting members. It is important that bylaws are updated to bring all groups into compliance with State Laws around Public Meetings, Public Records, Public Officials and more. The Advisory Bodies Program has a template that has been pre-approved by the City Attorney's Office for the minimum requirements to compliance.
