What is the Community Safety Program?

The services provided to the community by the City of Portland’s Community Safety Coordinators fall into three broad areas: education, community organizing, and training. We support neighbors to work with each other, with the City, and with community to better address a broad range of related public safety considerations. The Community Safety Program is not within the Portland Police Bureau. If you need to find or contact your Police Precinct go online to portlandoregon.gov/police

Do not report criminal activities to the Community Safety Program:

If this is an emergency, please call 911 immediately. If you need police response but it is not an emergency, please call police non-emergency at 503-823-3333. If you are looking to file an online CRIMINAL report go to the Portland Police Bureau website and REPORT ONLINE

For reporting non-criminal issues:

For general information concerning city issues, please contact us at 503-823-4000 or cityinfo@portlandoregon.gov. If you are looking to report livability NON-CRIMINAL issues (abandoned autos, campsite reporting, debris in roadways, graffiti, illegal parking, park maintenance, potholes, street lighting etc) go to PDX REPORTER
