Across our communities, people are coming up with creative ways to stay connected and express themselves promoting the common good and reducing the feeling isolation.
Community Safety is partnering with the Aging and Disabilities Project team to encourage Portlanders to stay connected with friends, family, and with each other, especially during a global pandemic. It is recommended to keep practicing safe physical distancing while being engaged in positive activities.
A Window into your Portland
Decorating a window can literally frames one’s view, and can represents one's perspective. The window doesn’t have to be an actual window, it can be a door, or even something placed in your yard. For example, many Portlanders have recently added signs in their windows and yards to promote peace, solidarity, justice, and reform.
This project is great for people of all ages, and can include painting a person or a story on your window, creating tissue paper stained glass, hanging fabric or flags on your door, etc. The options are endless!
