Partnership opportunity

Community organization partners can work with a team of graduate student consultants for a community-benefitting, two-term-long project (winter & spring).

 

Sample projects

Collaborative production and pilot testing of a community assessment workbook; economic development plan for Metro Portland’s Latino communities; neighborhood-specific sustainability and smart growth plan.

 

What PSU offers

If a group of students choose to work on your project, your organization will receive:

  • A team of 3-4 knowledgeable, enthusiastic graduate students
  • Regular communication, updates from the student team
  • A final product that matches community interest/needs

 

What agency must offer

To ensure a successful project, agency partners must provide:

  • A problem-centered project that meets community needs in a specific geographic area
  • Regular communication with at least one agency representative for the duration of the project
