The second Community Listening Session for Immigrants and Refugees with Disabilities was held on August 31 at our East Portland Community Office. The disability awareness event was about sharing experiences and creating networks within the refugee disability community. Participants of this project were excited to continue building relationships and about sharing their stories. Disability culture is beautiful!
Thank you to the Disability Art and Culture Project for sponsoring and congratulations to Saara Hirsi and Abdi Mohamed (graduates of the Civic Life Disability Power PDX Program) for hosting this amazing event. .
