2011- Alpha Broadcasting and Rodda Paint

Crime Prevention Program Manager Stephanie Reynolds says:

Here in the Crime Prevention Program, we absolutely could not do our work without the many wonderful partnerships we enjoy with other organizations. This year, we could not decide between two excellent candidates, so we decided to honor them both with the Public Safety Partner Award.

Bill Boone and Lis Waller, could you please join us up here? Bill is the President, and Lis is the Marketing Manager for Rodda Paint.  The refreshments you are enjoying this evening were provided today courtesy of Rodda Paint, and we want to thank you very much for that.  And, Rodda is a sponsor of the annual Paint the Town Clean graffiti clean up event, which is coming up on August 6th.  Rodda has a table here today where you can learn more about this great event.  At last year’s event, over 70 volunteers came together and completed 30 graffiti clean up projects.  If you’ve never before cleaned up graffiti, you should give it a try.  It’s incredibly satisfying.  Rodda, thank you for your support of your community!

Torden Wall, please come up and join us.  Torden is the Sales Manager for KINK FM, one of the six radio stations of locally-owned Alpha Broadcasting.  Alpha Broadcasting is also a sponsor of Paint the Town Clean, which is wonderful.  But today, we are really honoring Alpha for their longtime partnership with us to put on the annual celebration of National Night Out.  For years, Torden and his colleagues have helped us get the word out about National Night Out, advised us on marketing strategy, helped us find sponsorships, and made the parties even more fun by sending crews from their radio stations.  They have been fundamental in making National Night Out as successful and well-attended as it is in Portland.  Thank you so much, Alpha Broadcasting, and particularly Torden Wall, for your partnership!
