FACT-Oregon conducting "Let's Talk About Sex…" workshops on February 2

The Facts of Life will be the focus for two workshops on February 2nd

FACT-Oregon is holding a workshop that will have an open discussion about sexuality across the lifespan with Leslie Walker-Hirsch, IMED, FAAIDD. Walker-Hirsh is a national speaker, author of “The Facts of Life …and More,” and co-creator of the Circles Curriculum Series.

Parents of children and youth experiencing disability, along with professionals, are invited to join the open discussion. Two sessions will be held on Thursday, February 2, at McMenamins Kennedy School, 5736 N.E. 33rd Avenue. A six-hour session with four training segments is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a two-hour session with two training segments is from 6 to 8 p.m. Professional development units are available for both workshops.

For more information, please visit FACT’s Oregon Training and Events page where the two workshops are listed in the calendar. Links for both workshops may be found there. Due to the nature of the topic, children are not permitted at these workshops.
