Due to the tremendous support of its sponsors, the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL) is offering scholarships for youth to attend the Annual Conference on Independent Living this summer. The conference will be July 24 through 27, 2017 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C.
After record numbers of young persons attended the previous conference, NCIL is ready to welcome #GenerationADA back to the Capitol for another year of workshops, presentations, organizing, and community building. “Revolution: A Global Independent Living Movement” is the thems of this year’s conference.
The two requirements to apply are: identifying as a deaf person and/or a person with a disability; and being 26 years old or younger (NCIL categorizes “youth” as 26 years old or younger.
