NASA PROVIDES APP TO HELP OTHERS
EXPERIENCE THE AUGUST 18 ECLIPSE
The Blind and others with low vision will be able to “see” next week’s eclipse with their own eyes with an app created to deliver a multisensory experience of this rare celestial event. The Eclipse Soundscapes Project, from NASA’s Heliophysics Education Consortium, from will include audio descriptions of the eclipse in real time, recordings of the changing environmental sounds during the eclipse, and an interactive “rumble map” app that will allow users to visualize the eclipse through touch. Thanks NASA for providing inclusion to experience a total solar eclipse for everyone.
