RACC invites artists from disabilities community to its Disability Integration Lunch
The Regional Arts & Culture Council is inviting all types of artists from the disabilities communities to share their experiences with art, disability, access, integration, inclusion and equity in their artistic pursuits. The luncheon is Tuesday, August 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Riverwood Rec Room at 4150 N.E. 125th Place.
Lavaun Benavidez-Heaster reports this will be a casual conversation and light lunch including vegan and gluten-free food options. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to express their interest on Facebook to help with having a head count for lunch. Responses should be made by Monday, August 28th at noon. More information may also be obtained by sending an email to Lavaun.
ASL interpretation is provided and the site has a wheelchair accessible path and room with a gender neutral accessible restroom.
Transportation to the luncheon may be through TriMet’s Bus Line 22 from the Gateway Transit Center at 10:48 a.m., 11:23 a.am. in the same block, or more frequently from the Parkrose Transit Center, both the 21 and 73 bus lines come within one-quarter mile of the Riverwood Rec Room.
