Consider submitting a proposal about Disability & Race
for November’s Facing Race Conference in Detroit
Race Forward: The Center for Racial Justice Innovation has announced that the Facing Race Conference will be held on November 8 through 10 in Detroit. They expect it to be their biggest and best conference yet. Facing Race registration and the Call for Proposals is now open. The proposal deadline is March 1.
The organizers want to strongly encourage anyone interested to submit a breakout session proposal and, at this time, would like to gauge interest. They are looking for folks who can lead sessions that align with the conference priorities, in terms of content and process.
Facing Race is an intentionally multi-racial, multi-issue, intergenerational conference that highlights campaigns, projects, research and art that promotes systemic solutions to current racial justice challenges. Workshops are also wanted that are participatory, practical and action- oriented, some that address narrative, culture and policy change.
