for November Dis/Representation: Evolving
Disability Conversations discussion
An audio recording and accessible transcript are available to the community for the November Immigrants & Refugees with Disabilities Panel, one of Dis/Representation’s Evolving Disability Conversations. Portland Immigrant and Refugees with disabilities, panelists Saara Hirsi and Abdi Mohamed, led the discussion that addressed systemic issues of Isolation, Employment, and Education faced by refugees with disabilities.
The discussion in an audio format or accessible transcript on this impactful topic for the community is posted on the Disability Art and Culture Project’s (DACP) website. Dis/Representation is a program of the DACP and made possible through a grant from the Multnomah County Cultural Coalition and the Oregon Cultural Trust, and DACP’s partnership with Portland Community College Disability Services.
