Hear local candidates for the May Primary Election
at two Elders in Action Candidate Forums in April
The 2018 Oregon Primary Election will be May 18th with local candidates vying for positions on Multnomah County’s Commission and Portland’s City Council. Elders in Action is conducting two Candidate Forums where the public may hear more about the candidates.
The first forum will features candidates for the Multnomah County Commission regarding issues facing older adults in the county. It will be Tuesday, April 10, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., at the Impact Northwest Multi-Cultural Center, 4610 S.E. Belmont Street.
The second Candidate Forum is Saturday, April 21, at Friendly House, 1737 N.W. 26th Avenue. Attendees may hear from candidates for the Multnomah County Commission and Portland City Council on issues impacting community members of all ages. The event stars at 10 a.m. with City of Portland Candidates speaking until 11 a.m. The Multnomah County Candidates will speak from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event is free and all are welcome. ASL interpretation will be provided.
