Ride Connection holding “Mobility For All Workshop”
to help people find transportation resources
Come out and learn about an exciting new tool to help persons with disabilities, older adults and other populations with transportation challenges find the resources they need in the Portland Metro Region on Friday, June 22. The “Mobility For All Workshop” will be held in Council Chambers at Oregon METRO, 600 Northeast Grand Avenue, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Ride Connection, in collaboration with a team of state and regional stakeholders, is completing a planning study to bring a new technology to the Portland region. Dubbed a “One-Call One-Click” system, its goal is to bring all the available resources to a single database that can be accessed on-line, by telephone, and by smartphone.
Persons faced with challenges finding transportation, their allies, community leaders, advocates, case workers, transportation provides and others who work with or care for persons needing assistance finding transportation should attend.
Registration is free and attendees are asked to confirm attendance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
This workshop, the culmination of a two-year project, represents a vital opportunity to bring stakeholders together and chart the course for creating a platform that supports mobility for all. See the project documents at bit.ly/ococ-plan.
