Interested in City permitting and development processes? Have you applied for a business or land use permit before and wish the process were easier?
We are looking for community members to join our citizen advisory committee.
The Portland Online Permitting System (POPS) Customer Advisory Committee (CAC) is a citizen advisory committee comprised of 12 members.
Each member represents a group of people that is impacted by the way the City does permitting and development review. Members include the following professions or interests: architect, developer, engineer, permit/land use consultant, contractor, neighborhood representative, and trades.
This advisory committee assists in identifying problems with current business processes, and reviews and provides feedback on proposed work flow and processes for the new online permitting system. The role of committee members may also include providing feedback on the prioritization of work in future phases, and providing input on different options for changes to business practices. Having a basic understanding of technical language is preferred.
Meetings will be held monthly and will typically be scheduled in the afternoon towards close of business. Generally meetings will last about an hour.
Committee members will receive validated parking tickets with light refreshments and snacks provided at each meeting.
