Volunteer position description: The is a committee for Portlanders interested in the City's work to reduce our natural hazard risk through efforts such as floodplain restoration and the seismic retrofitting of public infrastructure. The committee shares information about implementation efforts and discusses citywide priorities. Many staff with engineering backgrounds attend and the conversation can be quite technical. However, we are open to everyone and are delighted when members of the public join us to ask questions and provide their perspective on our work. We invite members of the public and organizations who have expressed an interest in this work to attend.
