What Do Community and Safety Mean to You?
Communities come together for many reasons—to heal, to call for change, to join a neighborhood clean-up, to eat popsicles. This year, Portlanders have the opportunity to come together and define what public safety means for them. Communities in other cities have followed this path, as identified in this article from the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. When neighbors get to know each other, they create more connected and safer communities.
When is National Night Out?
- Official date of National Night Out: August 6th, 2019. Residents and businesses have an option to host parties any day of the week from August 2nd-11th.
