This month’s Access Tip is…a survey about the Access Tip!
Your input will help us to decide how to move forward with the Tips. We need to hear from you so we can best use our limited time and resources to support City staff and community members to equitably engage Portland’s many communities.
These two koalas want you to take the survey. One is sitting in a Jack o’ Lantern, head sticking out of the top, looking at us with a look that says, Trick or Treat! Now take the survey. The other one is leaning up against the Jack o’ lantern, thinking, “you really need to take this survey.” Do it for the koalas.
Need a little more context? The Access Tip is designed to be a monthly educational tool for City staff. We envisioned this tool as way for staff to learn how to “do accessibility” and integrate disability justice more deeply into the ways all of us work.
There have been 26 Access Tips released over the last three years, and they have been going to all City staff (through the Citywide All Employees distribution list) for the last year. They’ve also been posted on Facebook and featured in several City newsletters.
It is now time for us to evaluate the Access Tip and learn if it is meeting its goals: Has it supported people to implement new policies and practices to more effectively engage Portland’s diverse disability communities?
If you’ve ever read an Access Tip, or read part of an Access Tip, or deleted an Access Tip without reading it, this survey is for you!
This survey has seven multiple choice questions and will take just a couple of minutes to complete. Thank you!
