Mt Hood Cable Regulatory Commission
Description: The Mt. Hood Cable Regulatory Commission (MHCRC) advocates for and protects the public interest in the regulation and development of cable communications systems in Multnomah County and the cities of Fairview, Gresham, Portland, Troutdale and Wood Village. It monitors and helps resolve cable subscribers concerns and participates in the development and planning of future telecommunications technologies which make use of the public right of way.
Committee advises City Council on a perpetual base.

Term length: Three year
Volunteer position description: The commission consists of eight appointees--three from Portland and one each from the other nearby municipalities. Members serve three-year terms. The Commission meets on the 3rd Monday of the month approximately seven months of the year at 6:30 p.m. The meeting schedule is posted on its website.
