Established by Portland City Code 3.98, the Towing Board of Review oversees the performance of all parties contracting with the City for towing or dispatching service. The Board consists of representatives from Portland Police, Portland Bureau of Transportation, the Port of Portland, Multnomah County and three citizen members having no connection to the towing industry. Members serve two-year terms. In addition, the towing industry elects two non-voting representatives who serve a one-year term.
Generally, the Board meets bi-monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of odd numbered months (January, March, May, etc.) at 1:30 pm at 1001 SW 5th Ave, 5th Floor. Meetings usually last an hour to an hour-and-a-half.
