What is Neighbors Together?

Neighbors Together is about connecting neighbors with an emphasis on community building. Neighbors Together activates multiple collaborative and creative solutions to community safety. This training supports neighbors to work with each other, with the City, and with community to better address a range of public safety considerations such as active transportation, emergency preparedness, personal safety, community advocacy, youth safety, and more. The Justice for Families' Night Out for Safety & Democracy expresses this approach with:

"I don't watch my neighbors. I see them. We make our community safer together."

National Night Out celebration hosted by New Columbia Home Forward in McCoy Park. This video explores how Portlanders define community safety. To turn on close captions for this video, please select the "CC" button located bottom right of video.
