The Office of Equity and Human Rights has asked our office to administer the Accommodations Fund for the Fiscal Year 2018-19.
Requests will be reviewed, and a decision of approval or denial will be made within two weeks of the request. At the time of approval, it will be determined how the requestor would like to be paid. Payment will primarily be processed as a reimbursement through SAP to vendors with the City. If a requester’s organization is not a vendor with the City, they will either need to become a vendor or ask another organization who is (ex: neighborhood coalition) to accept the reimbursement on their behalf. If the requestor uses a vendor that is already registered with the City, we can submit a payment to them directly with a proper invoice. Payments will be processed within a month after the invoice is received.
All requests must be made by April 30th, 2018 and all invoices must be submitted by May 31st, 2018. Invoices must be made out to Office of Community & Civic Life or the City of Portland.
TYPES OF ALLOWABLE ACCOMODATIONS
This is not meant to fulfill all accommodation expenses or used in lieu of fulfilling legally required accommodations by other City bureaus or agencies. Workplace accommodations, capital improvement projects, or personal accommodations are not eligible to use this fund.
Submitting a request does not guarantee funding.
