Repair and Maintenance

The mechanical repair and maintenance section of CityFleet consists of several repair facilities conveniently located throughout the City and surrounding area.

Skilled vehicle and equipment mechanics maintain approximately 2950 City-owned vehicles and pieces of equipment. These include parking patrol vehicles, sedans, pick-ups, vans, police sedans, dump trucks, back hoes, heavy construction equipment, and many other kinds of vehicles and specialty equipment.

Clean, well-lit state-of-the-art repair facilities are home to CityFleet employees who perform a wide range of service and repairs. Scheduled oil, lube, and filter changes coupled with regular inspections of the vehicle are the backbone of CityFleet’s preventive maintenance program. These scheduled services allow the vehicle to be removed from service on a planned basis so that mechanics can inspect and make necessary repairs to the vehicle.

Other services provided at CityFleet garages include: DEQ emission inspections, complete engine, transmission, drive-train, electrical, suspension, heating, cooling, and air conditioning diagnoses and repair. Computer downloads from the vehicle and hand-held diagnostic equipment with computer-generated repair information assist mechanics in determining required repairs. Modern tools and skilled professionals keep vehicles and equipment in excellent condition, allowing them to be available to meet the requirements of the City.
