The Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) hosted its Juice: Fueling Innovation breakfast on Feb. 8 at the Portland Art Museum. The event — RACC’s revamped, rebranded Arts Breakfast of Champions — celebrated local support for creative expression. As co-chair for RACC’s Battle of the Bands competition, City Commissioner Chloe Eudaly had the pleasure of introducing Members Only, Kaiser Permanente’s ‘80s cover band and winner of the 2016 Battle of the Bands Best Showmanship award.
“It can’t be overstated: Portland owes much of its popularity to its wonderful artists and vibrant artist communities, and as the city grows at an unprecedented rate, it’s more important than ever to support the arts and preserve Portland’s culture of creativity,” Commissioner Eudaly said. “RACC is crucial to the success of these efforts and I encourage all Portlanders to get involved any way they can.”
