Pollyanne Faith Birge was born and raised in Spokane, Washington and has lived in Portland for the last 25 years. She is the Community Engagement and Policy Advisor for Portland City Commissioner, Chloe Eudaly. Having earned a B.A. in Sociology and Women’s Studies, she also graduated with a Masters of Public Administration in non-profit management at Portland State University. A dedicated advocate for the arts, creative expression, disability issues and social justice, Pollyanne was formerly the Outreach Coordinator and Policy Advisor under Mayor Sam Adam’s administration.
After leaving City Hall for the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, she continued on as the Executive Director for the Independent Publishing Resource Center as well as the Executive Director for the Oregon Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. She has served on numerous boards of directors including Design Week Portland, TERRAIN SPOKANE, the Portland Bridge Festival, Know Your City and the Stumptown Comics Fest.
She loves political print art and illustration, organizational strategic planning, music of all genres, and dogs.
