Management Services Division


Management Services Division (MSD) provides the administrative staff and resources necessary to support PF&R services. MSD is divided into two branches: Business Operations and Logistics.

Business Operations
Business Operations is comprised of four sections: Finance, Business Services, and Planning and Customer Services. Finance staff is responsible for ensuring compliance with the City’s financial, budgetary, and procurement policies, procedures, and writing grant application. Business Services staff processes payroll, coordinates information technology, and prepares contracts and agreements. Planning & Customer Services staff is responsible for strategic plan monitoring, statistical research and analysis, and general administrative support.

The Logistics Section is responsible for ensuring that all fire stations, facilities, and apparatus are maintained and that all stations have the supplies necessary to conduct operations. This section is also responsible for overseeing the General Obligation (G.O.) Bonds, which funds existing stations seismic upgrade, new stations construction, and aging apparatus replacement.
