Portland Fire & Rescue Fire Inspectors inspect businesses and other places to ensure that state and local fire codes are being met. Inspectors look for fire hazards that could pose a potential danger to the general public. Fire inspectors also work closely with building planners and developers to approve plans for brand new buildings and inspect buildings that are under construction.
