Pumpkin Dessert

 Courtesy of Station 5

  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can pumpkin
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter (sliced)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Approximately 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or walnut pieces
  • Whip cream

  • Mix the evaporated milk, pumpkin, eggs, and sugar until blended.
  • Spray a 9x13 inch glass pan with cooking spray and line it with wax paper.
  • Pour mix into bottom of pan onto the wax paper.
  • Sprinkle the cake mix over the top of the batter - you will only need about 3/4 of the cake mix.
  • Add walnuts and place the slices of butter on top randomly around the pan.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for about 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let it cool for about 5 minutes.
  • Place a baking sheet on top of the glass pan and flip it over to cool again - don't remove the waxed paper for about five minutes.
  • When completely cool, cut into squares and top with whip cream and serve.
