Mix the evaporated milk, pumpkin, eggs, and sugar until blended.

Spray a 9x13 inch glass pan with cooking spray and line it with wax paper.

Pour mix into bottom of pan onto the wax paper.

Sprinkle the cake mix over the top of the batter - you will only need about 3/4 of the cake mix.

Add walnuts and place the slices of butter on top randomly around the pan.

Bake at 375 degrees for about 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown.

Let it cool for about 5 minutes.

Place a baking sheet on top of the glass pan and flip it over to cool again - don't remove the waxed paper for about five minutes.

When completely cool, cut into squares and top with whip cream and serve.
