Portland Fire & Rescue’s Training Academy is dedicated to meet the needs of our complex and dynamic fire service by providing training of the highest quality.  PF&R’s Training Academy is unique because of our length of curriculum and the resources dedicated to the program. The facility is located on a six-acre site which includes classrooms, a six-story drill tower, a two-story burn room, fitness facility, and a variety of training aids and mock-ups. The Training Academy trains newly hired Firefighter Trainees and Firefighter EMT/Paramedics and develops the basic and advanced skills necessary to best serve the citizens of the City of Portland.
