Medical Information & Refrigerator Cards
Medication is an important part of many people’s lives. When injured or ill, it becomes even more important. Life-saving medications given by Paramedics may not work well with some medicines you may use.
Emergency responders need to know what medications you are taking. Your medical situation may not allow you to gather those up during an emergency and searching your home takes valuable time.
Keep a current list of your medications available and in an obvious place. Your list can be posted on the refrigerator, in your kitchen, or in an easy to find place. Leave instructions for family members so they can assist if they are available.
Portland Fire & Rescue provides cards to serve as a gathering place for your medical information. While any card will do, these brightly colored cards are easy to spot and recognize. Most important is having this information on hand. Medical Information Refrigerator Cards are available at Portland Fire & Rescue’s Administrative Office at 55 SW Ash Street in downtown Portland, Oregon OR you can click here to download and print the cards directly from PF&R’s website.
