The Portland Firefighters Association (PFFA) Local 43 held their 8th Annual Charitable Golf tournament today at Colwood National Golf Course in Portland, Oregon. Off-duty Portland firefighters started their day playing golf and wrapped up the event with a trophy presentation, raffle prizes, and silent auction bid.
Tee sponsors, tournament proceeds, and funds raised from raffle prizes and silent auction bids were donated for the care of Kip Johnson and the PFFA Charitable Fund.

Kip Johnson, son of retired Portland Firefighter Gordy Johnson, severely injured his spinal cord in a skiing accident on December 21, 2003 at Ski Bowl, leaving his body and legs completely paralyzed. The PFFA Charitable Fund is a non-profit organization in partnership with the Portland Firefighters Association Local 43. The focus of the PFFA Charitable Fund is centered around goals of a general charitable nature that serves the public interest or common good.
