The 15 princesses of the 2010 Portland Rose Festival Court stopped by Fire Station 1 yesterday to greet Portland firefighters and take a tour. Fire Chief John Klum’s presented each of the princesses with a Letter of Appreciation and service pin thanking them for their dedication to their community and service to Rosaria.
The members of the Court buzzed with excitement when Public Information Officer Allen Oswalt invited the group to take a ride in Station 8’s ladder truck bucket.
The 2010 Rose Festival Court is comprised of 15 graduating high school seniors who are selected from Portland-Metro area high schools. The Court is currently traveling full-time 6 days a week for 6 weeks and visiting community events, business leaders, hospitals, senior living centers, youth organizations, and civic groups. The Queen of Rosaria will be announced before the Grand Floral Parade on June 12th.
Portland Fire wishes each of the princesses the best of luck!
