Invite You to Attend a Brown Bag Lunch:
Preparing For Pets in Emergencies
If you are like millions of animal owners in the United States, your pet or pets are considered members of your family. It’s important to prepare yourself, your family, and your pets for the unexpected. And keep in mind – what’s best for you and your family is typically what’s best for your animals.
The Portland Water Bureau and the Portland Office of Emergency Management want to give you the tools to help you, your family, and your pets to prepare, plan, and stay informed during an emergency.
On Thursday, July 1st from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm in the Portland Building's 2nd floor Auditorium, John Rowton from the Multnomah County Animal Services will discuss the types of emergencies that are likely to affect the Portland metro area and the plans in place to address to address those emergencies. John will also teach you how to prepare you, your family, and pets in advance for such emergencies.
This brown bag discussion is open to all City of Portland employees and the general public. See you there!
