On June 15^th, firefighters from Station 18 (located at 8720 SW 30^th Avenue in Portland, Oregon) visited the West Hills Early Childhood Learning Center on SW Capitol Highway to visit with the kids and talk with them about fire safety.  With a broad range in ages from three years old up through 1^st grade, Lieutenant Kirk and Firefighters Jason, Dan and Steve had to creatively adapt their presentation to be age appropriate! 

In the pictures below, we have the three-year-old class learning from Firefighter Jason about what to do if a firefighter comes to rescue them in a fire and what types of equipment firefighters carry on their engines.  Thanks to West Hills Early Childhood Learning Center for allowing us to come and educate these kids about fire safety!
