Portland Firefighters from Station 4 in SW Portland put down their pike poles and pick axes and picked up ice cream scoops to dish out ice cream and fun to kids of all ages from Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Whether it was playing with kids in the outdoor gathering area, visiting with family members, or delivering ice cream and Burgerville hamburgers to nurses, doctors, and room-bound kids and family members, firefighters made new friends and enjoyed giving back to others.
