Portland firefighters from Engine 14 were invited to help prepare for the flurry of activity and neighborhood fun at the 18th Annual Good in the Neighborhood Multicultural Music and Food Festival & Parade in NE Portland.
Firefighters filled barrels and buckets with water to hold the canopies that would provide shade during the Good Neighbor Night Mixer and the Live Music and Food Festival during the weekend of June 25, 2010 at King School Park, adjacent to King Elementary School.
The Good-in-the-Neighborhood is a multicultural music and food festival held annually that features live entertainment, a variety of cultural food vendors, an Information Village, a KidSpace arts & craft area, and an Ethnic Marketplace. The mission of the festival is to promote the cultural aspects of the N/NE community. Visit the festival’s official website at http://goodintheneighborhood.org/ to learn more.
