Firefighters from Portland Fire & Rescue’s Station 27 participated today in a family friendly Safety Day at the Annual NW Natural Street of Dreams in NW Portland.  Captain Steve and Firefighters Miles, Marc, and Roi handed out fire hats and badges to excited kids, and gave them a chance to feel like real firefighters by sitting in the engine, spraying the fire hose, and trying on fire gear.

Also at the event were Portland Police Officers to showcase one of their newest state of the art police cars.

Complimentary child identification kits where provided by Liberty Mutual and seminars where given on landscaping your home for optimal safety, home safety, child window fall prevention, and proper bike helmet fitting.
