Body found in Willamette River Near Marina in Southwest Portland
Portland, OR -- A passer-by sighted the body and called 9-1-1 about 7:40 a.m., said Paul Corah, spokesman for Portland Fire & Rescue. Portland firefighters were dispatched to the scene at the Macadam Bay Club Marina, 7400 S.W. Miles Place, off of Southwest Macadam Avenue, and secured the body.
Lieutenant Mary Lindstrand, spokeswoman for Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, said the body is an adult and that there were no reports of missing adults in the county at the moment. The sheriff's office is investigating the death and the person's identity.
