NEWS RELEASE 09/23/10: Portland Firefighters Respond to Head-On Collision Involving School Bus in SE Portland

Portland firefighters responded to a head on collision between two cars and a school bus at 8:45 am. The accident took place at the intersection of SE 143rd Avenue and SE Powell.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a female, was transported to Portland Adventist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A 10-year-old female child who was on the school bus was injured after hitting her head on the back of a school bus seat. She was also transported to Portland Adventist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At the time of the accident, the school bus was picking up students for school. The vehicle was headed eastbound and the school bus was headed westbound. Portland Police Bureau is investigating this accident.
