September 24, 2010 -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSA) is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from thousands of types of consumer products. In September 2010, CPSA announced close to 30 product recalls. Several items were recalled because they create fire hazards - this included circuit breakers, night lights, rugs, tea sets, and speakers. Portland Fire & Rescue wants to make sure you’re aware of the below recalled products:
- Siemens Recalls Circuit Breakers Due to Fire Hazard

- The Gerson Company Recalls Glass Vases Due to Laceration Hazard
- Tea Sets Recalled by The Coffee Bean &Tea Leaf® Due to Fire Hazard
- Children's Hooded Jackets and Sweatshirts with Drawstrings Recalled By Burlington Coat Factory Due to Strangulation Hazard
- Giant Starbuilders and Giant Stars Building Sets Recalled by Edushape Due to Choking Hazard
- Chuck E. Cheese’s Recalls Light-up Rings and Star Glasses Due to Ingestion Hazard
