Portland Fire & Rescue responded to a working house fire located at 11:14 pm on October 16th at 140 NE 72 Ave.  When crews arrived they reported smoke from the front of the home with a male occupant hunched over in the entry way.  Fire attack crews quickly helped the victim off the front porch, and provided medical attention until a medical unit arrived. Additional crews attacked the fire and were able to contain the fire to a small area in the living room. There were no other fire extensions. 

A Fire Investigator was called to the scene and at this time a cause is undetermined.
