Portland Fire & Rescue Responds to Report of Man in Creek
Portland Fire & Rescue responded to the report of a man "floundering" in Johnson Creek just after 7:00 p.m. tonight. The caller said that he did not know why the man was in the creek nor why he was unable to climb out.
The caller added that two men had climbed down the embankment to help the victim. The men who brought the victim up the embankment stated later that they'd found him face down in the water.
Portland Police officers started CPR. Working together, Portland Fire & Rescue's Engine 11, Rescue 11, and Portland Police brought the victim up the 20-foot steep embankment. The patient was transported to a local hospital. Due to the quick actions of Portland Police and Portland Fire & Rescue, the victim had regained a pulse before arriving at a local hospital.
