FMO, October 2010
Members of Portland Fire & Rescue’s Fire Marshal Office (FMO) celebrated the holiday season with a potluck lunch this past week. Everyone attending brought a “covered dish” and employees served themselves buffet style.
The highlight of the potluck was a ham and prime rib cooked by Fire Marshal Erin Janssens.
Fire Marshal Janssens thanked everyone for their hard work throughout the year and showed her gratitude by giving each employee a fire prevention mug.
The FMO, a part of the Fire Prevention Division at Portland Fire, is responsible for all fire and life safety related programs. The six sections included in the FMO are Public Education/Information, Plans Examination, Inspection/Code Enforcement, Company Fire Inspection Program, Investigations, and the Harbor Master.
