The Urban League of Portland highlighted the City of Portland as the February Employer of the Month.

Representatives from the City of Portland presented information on the recruitment process for the city positions of Police Officer, Firefighter, and Firefighter Trainee yesterday afternoon at Portland Community College’s Cascade Campus.  All interested candidates were strongly encouraged to attend the free employment workshop to increase their understanding about the highlighted jobs and the recruitment process.

Portland Fire & Rescue’s (PF&R) Recruiting Officer Terry Foster encouraged potential candidates to consider a career in the fire services.  Foster provided information that detailed the steps to become a PF&R Firefighter Trainee or a Firefighter EMT-Basic/Paramedic.
